Inversamente, the level of ghrelina, hormone that stimulates the appetite, augments and generates a main apetencia by the rich foods in fats and sugars. The excedente of calories like this generated in nocturnal period favours the increase of weight.

The sleeplessness comports a more elevated risk to suffer diabetes of the type II, since the fault of sleep affects to the metabolism of the sugar by means of a resistance to the insulin.

The studio carried out in 2001 by researchers of the University of Philadelphia has showed that those that sleep little (less than 6.5 h/night) secretan 40% more than insulin that those that sleep “moderately”.

The stress induced by the fault of sleep can originate a perturbation of the action of the insulin.

Therefore, when there are problems of management of weight, results fundamental to take care the sleep, so much in quantity as in quality.
